Meet Kelvin:
A Story Of An Eldest Child

"When all else fails, trust God." This is how John Kelvin Romero,
or Kelvin, views life. Prayer is his greatest weapon and having
found God is what he is most grateful for in this lifetime.

Kelvin is the eldest child in a family of two siblings. Growing up, he considers himself to be one of the naughtiest kids in town and recalls being reprimanded by his mother a lot. He is a typical child whose priorities include playing, eating, and playing more. He is at his happiest during that time, but things take a sudden turn for him—at age 14, he has lost his mother to hypertension, while just last year, at 17, his father to drug overdose.

Left with no other option but to move forward, Kelvin, who is currently studying at FIRST College and a breadwinner, musters up all the courage he has and starts working to make ends meet.

Kelvin is nothing short of amazing. He has found the perfect formula to balance his life as a student, breadwinner, and teenager.

Still, Kelvin prays for a better tomorrow.
