Program Description

Learn the basic understanding of a PLC operation in a manufacturing or process control environment. It is designed to equip the novice with no prior PLC programming experience with the tools necessary to create a PLC program using ladder logic common to most current platforms. Learners will gain knowledge in the hardware structure of a PLC and how it operates in the field using inputs and outputs. Learners will have access to a PLC trainer where exercises will require them to develop software, download, debug and fault-find.

Program Objectives

By the end of the program, the participants will be able to:

  • Interpret electrical and pneumatic diagrams
  • Terminate PLC connections
  • Troubleshoot and repair PLC connections
