Program Description

The program is a basic (not advanced) workshop designed around understanding data, describing center and dispersion; making hypotheses, and telling a credible story about relationships.

Program Objectives

• build confidence in knowing basic analytics, and not be intimidated by terms such as “big data” and “AI”;
• learn basic analytics, from descriptive statistics to simple predictive analytics;
• practice Excel techniques for graphical statistics, correlation-causation, simple regression, and basic hypothesis making; and
• connect numbers and statistics to good stories. Analytics is not just about numerical analysis, but how to tell a good “story” about numbers that can help in decision making.
