High-Reliability OrganizationsProgram Description
While thriving in a VUCA world — volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity— requires an organizational transition into being a High-Reliability Organization. According to Weick and Sutcliffe, there are five key characteristics of a High-Reliability Organization: Preoccupation with Failure, Reluctance to Simplify Interpretations, Sensitivity to Operations (an HRO Distinguishing Characteristic), Commitment to Resilience, and Deference to Expertise. This workshop is focused on moving past individual leadership transformations, instead it emphasizes the need to harness collective mindfulness and collective enactment.
